What We Believe

North Branch believes that life is all about love. We believe that it started with a trinity of the godhead—Creator, Redeemer and Sustainer—living in perfect love. Out of that love, God created the universe, even our world of splendid diversity in butterfly, bird, mountain and stream, and finally we ourselves, each in God’s own image.

Humanity, however, chose selfishness over service, and shattered the harmony of God and creation, breaking the bonds of love, becoming slave to sin and oppression.

Our loving God responded by sending Jesus who embodied perfect love in his life, death and resurrection to rescues us and begin God’s new creation in love again.

God sent the Holy Spirit to renew individuals and society into the beloved community. North Branch church embraces this calling to live into the Spirit’s beloved community, welcoming all people and restoring all things.

One day Jesus will return and consummate all of creation into the new heavens and new earth, brought back eternally into God’s loving embrace. Until that day we pray that heaven can come ever closer to earth because we live out our faith in love.
